AdvoKC, as a youth-led civic tech organization committed to tracking and advocating for promises made by elected officials to be kept, expresses disappointment at the failure of His Excellency, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo (the Executive Governor of Anambra State) to fulfill his promise as stated on page 8 of his campaign document/manifesto titled Soludo Solution "What we present here is a synopsis, designed to give Ndi Anambra a feel for the future we envision. The full Agenda costed with timelines and delivery mechanisms will be published within the first 30 days on assumption of office if you give me the mandate."

On March 17th, we launched Soludometer at AdvoKC (https://www.advokc.ng/soludometer), the first subnational promise tracker in West Africa to identify and track the 100 most important promises you made while campaigning to become the Executive Governor of Anambra State. Since its launch, we have reached over 200,000 people online and offline. The importance of transparency and accountability to the success of democracy in any given state cannot be understated. This is why we are tracking the performance of your administration through our tracker.

We have sent official letters to His Excellency through his personal office to see to the release and publication of this full agenda document as promised both online and physically, all of which have proven abortive.

Ndi Anambra, whom his excellency represent expects the executive governor (as stated in his manifesto Soludo Solution) to "hit the ground running". As such, we are advocating on behalf of Ndi Anambra as a civil society organization to know why the promise of publishing an actionable plan within 30 days of assumption of office is yet to be fulfilled by His Excellency, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo five months into his tenure.

Nigeria is at a critical point in its fight against voter apathy, as such, transparency and accountability enabling initiatives such as these are crucial now more than ever.
