Promise Ring | Seyi Makinde fails in the delivery of Wire and cable – Ita-faaji road

For the people of Orisunmibare, Wire and Cable, and Ita-faaji area of Ido local government area of Ibadan, Oyo state, all of the furor of a governor that is working and going the extra mile is far removed from their reality. This is because in the build up to the 2019 election, the governor came visiting with his campaign train to the area and personally promised to fix the dilapidated road that connects the community to the outside world.

In an opinion piece published in the Nigerian Tribune on the 24th of March 2020, a residence of the area decried the deplorable state of the road as it has not been fixed by the governor. Similarly, here at AdvoKC, we embarked on a media campaign to remind the governor about the said road.

According to eye witness report as at press time, the road is yet to be fixed. We therefore rate the personal promise broken.
