Promise: A new department of ANSIPPA( Import-to-export department) will specifically assist our traders to forge durable and profitable partnerships with overseas partners.
Charles Soludo, the current governor of Anambra, promised to create a new department of ANSIPPA to assist traders in forging durable and profitable partnerships with overseas partners. This promise has been rated "in the works" as the government is currently taking steps to fulfill it.
According to a reporter who visited ANSIPPA, the department has not yet been established, but a board meeting is scheduled for April of this year. The Technical Officer at ANSIPPA informed the reporter that they are working on establishing a commission, the Anambra Development and Investment Commission (ADIC), which will include the import-to-export department.
It is worth noting that the ADIC will not be a public commission but a private commission at ANSIPPA. This means that the government will partner with private entities to achieve its goals of promoting investment and development in the state.
Creating an import-to-export department is a commendable initiative as it will help traders in Anambra to expand their businesses beyond the shores of Nigeria. With the establishment of the ADIC, the department can be expected to provide assistance to traders in identifying profitable overseas markets, negotiating deals, and ensuring that the transactions are conducted in a transparent and ethical manner.
Overall, the promise of creating an import-to-export department is "in the works," and the government is taking the necessary steps to fulfill it. The establishment of the ADIC is a step in the right direction, and it is hoped that the import-to-export department will be fully operational by the second quarter of this year, as stated by the Technical Officer at ANSIPPA. This will go a long way in promoting investment and development in Anambra state and will be a significant boost to the state's economy.
