His Excellency, Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo promised to make Anambra a hub of technological and industrial advancement. To do this, the industrial sector must be invested in.

PROMISE 1: “We will designate new locations as industrial/tech parks (Akwaihedi, Awka environs, orumba, ozubulu, Araku.”
PROMISE 2: “The Government will set aside at least 2000 hectares of land for said parks in the first instance and provide key infrastructure.”

One campaign promise was to designate new locations as industrial and tech parks in Anambra in specific locations. The goal is not just for the growth of the industry but also to create jobs and improve the infrastructure and boost the economy of the state.

According to Punch newspaper, the Governor launched four thousand hectares of land for a proposed industrial city and automobile park at Akwaihedi. This was made known during a meeting with the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN). The meeting was in respect to the state's collaboration with the Manufacturers for a commercial boost in Anambra. At Awkaihedi, 4000 hectares of land have been set aside as an Industrial city.

We rate this promise “In the Works” as we look forward to the designation of other locations for industrial parks.
